I personally use and highly recommend Xsite Pro. It's site building software that creates sites easily and inexpensively.  You pay for the software upfront ($197) and can use it to create an unlimited number of web sites.  Your only other costs will be for hosting (I recommend Host Gator as it is very reliable and extremely inexpensive) and your domain name.

Xsite Pro is very intuitive, but comes with a great user manual that you download and print out (or simply view on your screen).  With no web site building experience, I built my first small site in an afternoon.  I have since used Xsite Pro to build several websites. 

Xsite Pro has some features that will help you build a site that is automatically search engine friendly. This will help you with organic listings on the search engines.  You'll also have your pages automatically set up in ways that make them easy for search engine robots to find you. That's extremely important, and just another reason I love Xsite Pro.
